Associate Professor Sharon Brennan-Olsen is supported by NHMRC Career Development Fellowship and is Principal Research Fellow with the Department of Medicine-Western Health, University of Melbourne, and Program Director of ‘Social Epigenomics and Population Health’ at the Australian Institute for Musculoskeletal Science (AIMSS). Her research interests are the social determinants of musculoskeletal diseases and related health service utilisation, and biological mechanisms that may underpin the social gradient of musculoskeletal diseases. Her track record includes ~160 peer-reviewed publications, a number of books and book chapters, and ~$4.1million in research funding. She is an active advocate for transparency in science, community engagement, and gender equity.
