A/Prof Jackie Center is a Senior Research Fellow at the Garvan Institute of Medical Research and a Senior Staff Specialist Endocrinologist at St Vincent’s Hospital.
The major focus of her research has been the epidemiology of osteoporosis and fracture and their outcomes. She is one of the main investigators on the Dubbo Osteoporosis Epidemiology Study, one of the major international epidemiological studies on osteoporosis. She has co-authored over 80 articles in international journals. More recently, she has been conducting research on the effect of weight change on bone mass and the role of gut and neural hormones.
