- This delegate is presenting an abstract at this event.
I am an NHMRC Leadership Fellow, and Head of the Genetic Epidemiology of Osteoporosis lab at the Garvan Institute of Medical Research. I also hold conjoint/adjunct appointments as Professor at the St Vincent's Clinical School; Professor of Epidemiology and Biostatistics at the School of Medicine Sydney, University of Notre Dame Australia; and Professor of Predictive Medicine at UTS. My research focuses on the discovery and translation of etiological and genetic factors that determine an individual's risk of fracture and adverse outcomes. As a principal investigator of the Dubbo Osteoporosis Epidemiology Study, I have contributed scientific evidence for health care policy and clinical guidelines concerning the prevention and treatment of osteoporosis. I have authored or coauthored more than 300 publications that have received over 30,000 citations. I am among the world's most cited researchers.
