Dr. Crandall is a Professor of Medicine at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). Her research focuses on osteoporosis screening strategies among postmenopausal women. She is an investigator in several large prospective cohort studies, including the Women’s Health Initiative and the Study of Women’s Health Across the Nation. She is the Scientific Chair of the Women’s Health Initiative Bone Scientific Interest Group. Her clinical practice has been based at the Iris Cantor-UCLA Women’s Health Center at UCLA, where she provides osteoporosis consultations. She frequently lectures to physicians and medical students regarding osteoporosis.
