Aralia echinocaulis Hand. Mazz, the Tujia nationality medicine, is used in fractures, bruises, joint pain, lumbago, edema. It mainly distributed in southwest China, South China and East Mountain. In recent years, studies on the treatment of orthopedic diseases by Aralia echinocaulis Hand. Mazz have gradually been recognized. Now through reviewing the researches about Aralia echinocaulis Hand. Mazz on the aspects of osteoporosis, osteoarthritis and osteoporosis, we wish could provide literature basis for further studies on the mechanism of treatment of orthopedic diseases by Aralia echinocaulis Hand. Mazz.
